With multiple schools and parks nearby, as well as recreational attractions, it is an area bustling with activity. A collection of new homes were built as part of development in the area.
Treadwell was engaged to supply the FRP grating decking panels as well as the stair treads for this development.
Project Challenges
- The selected decking had to be slip and corrosion resistant, and barefoot and high-heel friendly.
- The selected decking had to allow the natural vegetation to thrive.
- As the panels would be cut on site, it needed to be fuss-free.

- Treadwell’s FRP is easily cut on site, without the need for any hot works permit. Resin is easily applied to seal the cut edges.
- For quicker unloading, Treadwell provided unloading services.
- Given the nature of FRP, any system utilising it is virtually maintenance free, keeping maintenance costs to a minimum.
