A locally owned business, our client has been central to the North Queensland construction industry since 1979. With a large modern facility located in the Cairns Port industrial area, they have the capabilities to handle various types of fabrication work, as well as an extensive painting facility. With the latest in automated steel processing machinery, they are able to remain at the forefront of their industry with their commitment to quality.
This company was contracted to provide an access structure for a modular site office building. Treadwell was engaged to supply the grating as well as the stair treads.
Project Challenges
- The selected material had to withstand constant exposure to the harsh Australian sun.
- Being in an outdoor environment, the selected material had to have anti-slip properties as well as corrosion resistance.
- Outdoor installation meant that progress was dependent on weather conditions.
